The story
The purists' marathon: an all-night indoor rave in Mannheim's Maimarkthalle where the world's best selectors play extended sets until the sun is long up.
Time Warp is a 2-day techno, minimal festival at Mannheim, Germany. The April 2027 edition runs 4–5 Apr 2027. It draws around 18,000 people.
Announced so far: Adam Beyer, Dixon, Nina Kraviz and Ricardo Villalobos. Expect stages split between Techno and Minimal. The line-up is spread across the 2 festival days, so a full-weekend ticket is the only way to catch every name.
At around 18,000 attendees it stays on the intimate side, which usually means shorter bar queues and a crowd that is there for the music rather than the spectacle. Mannheim is the base for the trip: it is where the affordable beds, the late trains and the after-parties are, and where prices climb fastest as the dates approach.
Time Warp keeps the same calendar slot each year: April 2027 for this edition, opening on a Sunday and closing on a Monday. It falls in spring, ahead of the summer festival rush, which usually keeps travel cheaper than the July and August dates. That slot matters for the budget — flights and rooms in Mannheim are priced for the festival weekend, not the week around it, so shifting your arrival by a day often saves more than any ticket tier does.

- 1Book the ticket first: tiers at Time Warp are sold in waves and the cheapest wave is gone long before the line-up is complete.
- 2Then price the travel from Paris — Cinderella compares train, bus, car and flight for the same dates, and the cheapest option is not always the obvious one.
- 3Reserve 3 nights rather than 2: the last night of a festival almost always ends after the last train home.
- 4If you fly into FRA, check the transfer time to Mannheim before booking the earliest departure — the airport bus is usually the cheapest leg of the whole trip.
- 5Follow Time Warp on Cinderella to be emailed when a ticket price drops or a new tier opens.
