The story
Iceland Airwaves is an annual music festival that takes place from November 4-7, 2026, in Reykjavik, Iceland. The festival features a diverse line-up of indie and alternative music performances in various venues across the city. Established to celebrate both emerging and established artists, the event transforms Reykjavik into a vibrant music hub during the winter months.
Iceland Airwaves is a 5-day alternative, indie rock, pop, rock festival at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland. The November 2026 edition runs 2–6 Nov 2026.
Announced so far: 9m88, Adult DVD, Agent Fresco, Alien Chicks, Amor Vincit Omnia, Andervel, Any Young Mechanic and Apex Anima & FRZNTE and 32 more. Expect stages split between Alternative, Indie Rock, Pop and Rock. The line-up is spread across the 5 festival days, so a full-weekend ticket is the only way to catch every name.
Everything happens at Harpa Concert Hall, in Reykjavik. Reykjavik is the base for the trip: it is where the affordable beds, the late trains and the after-parties are, and where prices climb fastest as the dates approach.
Iceland Airwaves keeps the same calendar slot each year: November 2026 for this edition, opening on a Monday and closing on a Friday. It falls in autumn, after the summer circuit closes, when flights and rooms come back down in price. That slot matters for the budget — flights and rooms in Reykjavik are priced for the festival weekend, not the week around it, so shifting your arrival by a day often saves more than any ticket tier does.

- 1Book the ticket first: tiers at Iceland Airwaves are sold in waves and the cheapest wave is gone long before the line-up is complete.
- 2Then price the travel from Paris — Cinderella compares train, bus, car and flight for the same dates, and the cheapest option is not always the obvious one.
- 3Reserve 6 nights rather than 5: the last night of a festival almost always ends after the last train home.
- 4If you fly into Not specified, check the transfer time to Reykjavik before booking the earliest departure — the airport bus is usually the cheapest leg of the whole trip.
- 5Follow Iceland Airwaves on Cinderella to be emailed when a ticket price drops or a new tier opens.
