Everything happens at Dreamstate Southern California, in Southern California. Southern California is the base for the trip: it is where the affordable beds, the late trains and the after-parties are, and where prices climb fastest as the dates approach.

Dreamstate Southern California keeps the same calendar slot each year: November 2026 for this edition, opening on a Friday and closing on a Saturday. It falls in autumn, after the summer circuit closes, when flights and rooms come back down in price. That slot matters for the budget — flights and rooms in Southern California are priced for the festival weekend, not the week around it, so shifting your arrival by a day often saves more than any ticket tier does.

• 2-Day GA and VIP passes available
• 10 years of celebrating trance music
• Free water refill stations and food options
• VIP restrooms and expedited entry lanes

What the trip costs from Paris

Door to door from Paris, a trip to Dreamstate Southern California works out at roughly €1,365 per person on the cheapest combination we track — a higher-budget weekend, mostly because of the travel leg.

The ticket is only 9% of that: the rest is getting there and sleeping somewhere, which is exactly the part most ticket sites leave out.

Cheapest travel we price is air · 15h 48m each way, at €1,078 return.

Planning the trip, step by step

1. 1Book the ticket first: tiers at Dreamstate Southern California are sold in waves and the cheapest wave is gone long before the line-up is complete.
2. 2Then price the travel from Paris — Cinderella compares train, bus, car and flight for the same dates, and the cheapest option is not always the obvious one.
3. 3Reserve 3 nights rather than 2: the last night of a festival almost always ends after the last train home.
4. 4Follow Dreamstate Southern California on Cinderella to be emailed when a ticket price drops or a new tier opens.
