The story
A Belgian institution where techno, bass and left-field club music share a field. Cheap, chaotic, and a short train ride from Paris.
Dour Festival is a 5-day techno, bass, hip-hop festival at Dour, Belgium. The July 2027 edition runs 15–19 Jul 2027. It draws around 55,000 people.
Announced so far: Amelie Lens, I HATE MODELS, Overmono and Sherelle. Expect stages split between Techno, Bass and Hip-hop. The line-up is spread across the 5 festival days, so a full-weekend ticket is the only way to catch every name.
At around 55,000 attendees it sits in the mid-to-large bracket — big stages and big production, but still walkable end to end. Dour is the base for the trip: it is where the affordable beds, the late trains and the after-parties are, and where prices climb fastest as the dates approach.
Dour Festival keeps the same calendar slot each year: July 2027 for this edition, opening on a Thursday and closing on a Monday. It is a high-summer date, which is peak season for both travel and accommodation across the region. That slot matters for the budget — flights and rooms in Dour are priced for the festival weekend, not the week around it, so shifting your arrival by a day often saves more than any ticket tier does.

- 1Book the ticket first: tiers at Dour Festival are sold in waves and the cheapest wave is gone long before the line-up is complete.
- 2Then price the travel from Paris — Cinderella compares train, bus, car and flight for the same dates, and the cheapest option is not always the obvious one.
- 3Reserve 6 nights rather than 5: the last night of a festival almost always ends after the last train home.
- 4If you fly into BRU, check the transfer time to Dour before booking the earliest departure — the airport bus is usually the cheapest leg of the whole trip.
- 5Follow Dour Festival on Cinderella to be emailed when a ticket price drops or a new tier opens.

Travel tips from Paris
- Fly into BRU, the closest airport to the site.
- Rail arrivals come through Mons; shuttles usually run from there.
- Book a bed in Dour early — rooms around a festival sell out before the last ticket tier does.
