The story
Day Zero Tulum is an electronic music festival held in Tulum, Mexico, since 2012. Originating on the final day of the Ancient Mayan Calendar, it has evolved into a gathering for music lovers from around the world, celebrating in the Mayan jungles. The festival is known for its atmosphere that combines mysticism and natural beauty.
Day Zero Tulum is a 3-day electronic, techno festival at Tulum in Tulum, Mexico. The December 2027 edition runs 12–14 Dec 2027.
Announced so far: Vintage Culture, Brunello, Tiga, LP Giobbi, Deer Jade, Rafael, &ME and Jane Fitz and 22 more. Expect stages split between Electronic and Techno. The line-up is spread across the 3 festival days, so a full-weekend ticket is the only way to catch every name.
Everything happens at Tulum, in Tulum. Tulum is the base for the trip: it is where the affordable beds, the late trains and the after-parties are, and where prices climb fastest as the dates approach.
Day Zero Tulum keeps the same calendar slot each year: December 2027 for this edition, opening on a Sunday and closing on a Tuesday. It is a winter date, so indoor stages and a warm place to sleep matter more than they would in July — and off-season travel is often cheaper. That slot matters for the budget — flights and rooms in Tulum are priced for the festival weekend, not the week around it, so shifting your arrival by a day often saves more than any ticket tier does.
- First held in 2012
- Located in the Mayan jungle
- 18+ age restriction
- One-day festival

- 1Book the ticket first: tiers at Day Zero Tulum are sold in waves and the cheapest wave is gone long before the line-up is complete.
- 2Then price the travel from Paris — Cinderella compares train, bus, car and flight for the same dates, and the cheapest option is not always the obvious one.
- 3Reserve 4 nights rather than 3: the last night of a festival almost always ends after the last train home.
- 4Follow Day Zero Tulum on Cinderella to be emailed when a ticket price drops or a new tier opens.
